Integrate, using the Natural Logarithm & Integrate the Trigonometric Functions

Example:

Let   u = 2x - 3
      du = 2 dx
      du = dx
       2

Integrate Trigonometric Functions:

  1.

  2.

    Multiply by sec x + tan x    to put the expression into a form that can be integrated.
                      sec x + tan x

    Now, let u = sec x + tan x
                 du = (sec x tan x + sec2x) dx

    So

  3.    (proof is similar to the above)

  4.
  5.

  6.

    Let  u = cos x
         du = - sin x dx

    so

  7.
