Integrate Exponential Functions

Since the derivative of y = e ^xis y = e ^x, then the integral of y = e ^x is also y = e ^x + C.

Also, the integral of y = e ^uis y = e ^u du.

Examples:

Let u = 2x - 3
     du = 2 dx
     du = dx
      2

Change 3^x to a number using base e.
Remember, e ^{ln a} = a.
So e ^ln3 = 3 and e ^{x ln3} = 3x since x ln 3 = ln 3 ^x
