Mr. Larry Tague (CV) is currently a research associate in Physiology and Biophysics and serves as the departmental network manager, coordinator for computer systems, and he is an active Gastrointestinal Physiologist. He is the Associate Director of MECCA and Co-Principal Investigator on the original NSF award which funded the MECCA consortium. He is also the Co-Principal investigator for an NSF "Networking Infrastructure for Education" proposal which has been funded. He has configured numerous gopher and www (Mosaic) servers and clients for MECCA, the Department of Physiology and he is a consultant for other information server providers at UT. Memphis as well as other institutions of Higher Education within Memphis. He serves as a network consultant for UT. Memphis Computer Services and Telecommunications. He is working with the Mid-South United Way as a MECCA consultant to help plan both software and programmatic directives for a social service oriented Freenet system for Memphis and the surrounding area. He has taught computer and network search methods including the use of gopher and World Wide Web clients for the Young Memphis Scholars and the Graduate Achievement programs during the Summer. He is currently teaching a graduate course which deals with the use of computers and computer network utilities in biomedical research.
