Change arctan 1 to A and arccos x to B and write cos (A + B).  Use the sum identity for cosines.  Then think about what each part is.  Since arctan 1 = A,  A has a tangent value of 1, so y/x = 1.  Find r and fill in the parts.  Do the same with arccos x = B.
