To solve trigonometric equations:
  1. Make sure all angles in the equation are the same angle.
  2. Try to change all trigonometric functions to one trigonometric function.
  3. Use algebraic techniques to solve the equations.
Sometimes different trigonometric functions can remain in the same equation if the equation can be factored in such a way that only one trigonometric function is in each factor.

These equations may also be solved with a graphing calculator.
            1.  Graph the left side of the equation in Y1 and the right side in Y2.  Use 2ND CALC
                  INTERSECTION.
            2.  Subtract one side of the equation from the other so the equation is equal to zero.  Graph
the resulting expression in Y1.  Use 2ND CALC ROOT or ZERO.
