WHERE IN THE LITERARY U.S.A. IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?
Using technology to create a literary landscape project.
OBJECTIVES:
1. To produce an awarness of the literary heritage of the U.S.
2. To produce travel booklets organized by the state or groups of states.
3. To develop informational presentations on points of literary interest, including birthplaces, museums, and settings used by American authors.
4. To collaborate with the Travel and Tourism/Aviation teachers to complete this project--technology, power point, scanning, materials etc.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Working in groups of three, students will sign up for state or group of states. One person in the group should be a technology person. Divide the tasks.
2. Students will keep a working folder that will include Xeroxed and highlighteed materials of all sources with bibliographic information on the page so that every member of the group will have access. A large part of this is working together and with technology.
3. Students will produce a travel booklet, including an original cover design, a title page, a table of contents, and a well-developed text with pictures, and a work cited page.
4. Included in text of the booklet will be information about authors and their works.
