The Wooddale High School Aviation Academy 2000 Grant is one of NASA's Information Infrastructure Technology and Applications (IITA K-14 CAN) Kindergarden through 14 years Cooperative Agreement Notices. This product is designed to better equip students to master communication skills, science, mathematics, engineering, and aeronautics through the use of modern technology provided in the classroom. The project uses computer modeling and networked resources to increase student skills and understanding of English, math, science, and technology. In particular, this project is designed to encourage and prepare students for careers in aircraft engineering and maintenance, avionics and systems support, pilot and airport operations, and Travel and Toruism Marketing, other technology based careers.
The project also includes a repository for secondary curriculum materials, aeronautical information, technical reports, and photo stories. The additional information provided through this project is intended to be shared with students of all ages, along with other educators, and anyone interested in the general aviation industry.
