12th Grade - Travel and Tourism Marketing

 

 

TIME FRAME:

 

Two Days (two one hour class periods)

 

 

OBJECTIVES:

 

1. To plan a two or three week bus tour.

2. Estimate time and cost.

 

 

MATERIALS:

 

1. Computers with internet capability

2. OAG Travel Planner Hotel and Motel Redbook

3. Gray Line Sales and Tour Guide

4. American Sightseeing International World Tariff

5. Travel Brochures, magazines, and newspapers

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. The student will pick a region in the United States and plan a two- or three-week bus tour.

2. The student will use the internet, brochures, guides, newspapers

and magazines to decide where you will stop, for how long, what

you will see and do.

3. The student will then estimate travel time and cost for the trip.
